We are getting married, and we could not be happier to share the day with you. Everything is here: the schedule, the villa, what to wear, where to sleep and how to reply. We will see you in Florence in August.

Sometimes the best of it begins quietly: two people, one city, and a morning that turned out to matter. Six years, four flats and one very long drive later, we are doing this properly.

Getting here
Florence Peretola is the nearest airport, twenty minutes from the villa. Pisa is an hour and a half by train and often the cheaper way in.
A coach runs from the centre of Florence at half past two, and back again at midnight and at two. Tell us your hotel in the reply and we will put you on it.
There is parking at the villa and cars can stay overnight. The last stretch is a narrow hill road, so allow ten minutes more than the map says.

For a proper Tuscan week. Ten minutes from the villa, better value for a family, and a pool nobody uses before eleven.

In the middle of Florence, a ten-minute taxi from the villa. Mention the wedding when you book and they will hold the rate.

Five minutes up the hill, and the one to pick if you are making a holiday of it. Ask for the wedding rate before the end of March.

The night before
The evening before the wedding we would love to feed anyone already in town. A long table in the garden, nothing formal, and a chance to see each other before the day itself.
The day
Here is what to expect on 14 August. All of it happens at Villa Sereno, so once you are up the hill you can stay there.
14:00
We gather in the garden below the house. Please arrive a few minutes early: the gate closes at ten to two and stays closed until it is over.
15:00
Prosecco and spritz on the terrace, small things to eat, and an hour in which the two of us are taken away to be photographed.
17:00
A seated dinner in the old hall, Florentine and long. Expect speeches between courses and at least one surprise.
20:00
The night is yours. Music until late, a bar that stays open, and the last coach down the hill at two.
Wedding gifts
Having you there is genuinely all we want. If you would like to do something anyway, we are putting money towards a fortnight in Japan and would be very glad of it.

Details
Beatrice will be in white, which is kindly reserved for her. Otherwise: it is August in Tuscany, so soft colours, summer fabrics and something you can stand on grass in.
A tailored suit or a smart shirt with dress shoes. Linen is welcome, a tie is not required, and nobody will mind if the jacket comes off after the ceremony.
A midi or full length dress in a warm tone. The ceremony is on grass and the terrace is stone, so a block heel will serve you better than a stiletto.

Please reply by 15 June 2027. Tell us about anything you cannot eat, and ask us anything at all.
FAQ
The five we are asked most. If yours is not here, write to us: we answer faster than the post does.
If your invitation names two people, yes. Put their name in the reply so the kitchen and the seating plan both know about them.
They are. There is a room off the hall from six with somebody looking after it, and the garden is walled. Tell us their ages in the reply.
Summer formal, in the colours above. It is August in Tuscany and the ceremony is outside, so linen and a block heel will treat you better than wool and a point.
Yes, and vegan, and anything else you need. Put it in the reply and the kitchen will have it in hand well before the day.
