Our story
It started as a disagreement about a painting neither of us could afford, in a room we had both been dragged to by somebody else. Nine years later Matteo asked on a rooftop in Seville, with the cathedral going gold behind him. The argument is still unresolved. We have simply stopped trying to win it.

As the light goes off the walls we will eat outside for as long as the evening allows, dance in the orangery once it does not, and keep going well past the hour we have told anyone about.

Schedule
One day, planned carefully and then left alone. Here is how it unfolds, hour by hour.
Arrive at the gate on Calle Mayor, take something cold, and find your name on the table under the arch.
In the chapel, which is small, so the doors close at five to. This is the part we are most nervous about.
Find us, tell us something kind, and stand in one photograph you will be glad of later.
Long tables in the courtyard while it is warm enough, and short speeches, which we have promised.
The band plays in the orangery until late and the bar stays open longer. Wear something you can move in.
One last toast under the arch, to love and to everyone who crossed a border to be here.

Please reply by 15 July 2027 so we can give the kitchen a number. Travelling from further away? Tell us and we will help with the rest.
What to wear
Seville is still warm in September and the courtyard is stone underfoot. Nothing below is a rule, except the one about ivory.
Long dresses, or a good midi, in anything that moves. We kindly ask guests to leave white and ivory to Isadora.
Suits in quiet colours, linen very much allowed. Ties are welcome and never expected, and it turns cool once the sun is off the walls.

Saturday 11 September 2027, at Vellmore House on Calle Mayor 12 in Seville. The ceremony is at five in the chapel, and dinner follows in the courtyard from half past seven.
Very. There is a quiet room off the cloister for anyone who needs a nap, and if you tell us their ages in your reply we will put something on the table they will actually eat.
Your invitation names everyone we have room for. If it says your name and a guest, please bring them. If you are unsure, ask us rather than guess.
From half past four. The chapel doors close at five to five, so anything earlier is better than exactly on time.
There is a courtyard for about thirty cars behind the house. The old town is closed to traffic in the evening, so a taxi to the gate on Calle Mayor is easier than driving in.
