We met at a supper club where neither of us knew anybody else, and we have been feeding people together ever since.
Six years later the guest list has grown, though the idea has not changed. A long table, food that keeps coming, and the people who have carried us here. We are getting married in the barn at the end of that lane, and we would love you to be in the room.
The place

A working farm at the foot of the downs, with a flint barn that has been standing since 1780 and an orchard behind it. The ceremony is outside if the weather holds and inside if it does not, and either way nobody has to move far.

Getting here
Lewes station is four miles away, with fast trains from London Victoria in just over an hour. We will run two minibuses from the station at half past one and again at two.
Three places we know and like, all of them holding rooms under our names until the end of March.
Questions
Whatever you feel good in. The ceremony is on grass and the evening is in a barn, so flat shoes are the sensible choice and a jacket is worth bringing for after ten.
They are. There is a room off the courtyard with somebody looking after it from six in the evening, and the orchard is fenced. Tell us ages in your reply and we will plan for them.
If your invitation names two people, yes. Give us their name in the reply form so the seating plan and the kitchen both know about them.
Your being there is the present. If you would like to do something anyway, we are putting money towards a fortnight in Japan and there is a link in the invitation.
The minibuses run back to Lewes at half past ten and at midnight. Taxis in this part of Sussex have to be booked in advance, so do it before the day rather than on it.
